Church Library

The Library has a collection of over 5,000 books ranging from fiction to research.  A special library for children is offered with almost 500 books.  The publications available in the library are offered because their profit outweighs any deficiencies with regard to doctrinal commitments/associations that are not consistent with the position of Trinity Bible Church.
LIBRARY USAGE
Hours of Operation:

Sundays: 9:30 AM - 9:45 AM & 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Other times:  During TBST class times & By appointment
Circulation:
Users
  • Borrowing privileges are restricted primarily to individuals affiliated with Trinity Bible Church and Trinity Biblical School of Theology (teachers, students and alumni in good standing).
  • Others may also apply for borrowing privileges; temporary access may be granted by the Pastor, permanent access privileges will be approved by the Official Board.

Loan Period
  • Books (unless otherwise noted) may be checked out for a period of two weeks; loaned book is due by the date indicated.  
  • New books may not be borrowed until loaned books are returned.
  • Periodicals, reference books, archives and specials collections are to be used solely in the library; these books are marked as such (with a red dot) and may not be checked out.
  • Books may be renewed up to two times if there is no waiting list for the title. 
  • Books may not be renewed if other patrons have placed reserve requests and are waiting for them. 
  • Please do not re-shelve books.  Return books to the designated return area or to the top of filing cabinet in the library.

Reserves
  • A library user who wishes to borrow an item that is already checked out to someone else may place a hold on it.  

Overdue and Damaged
  • Books overdue by one week will be sent a reminder.  If reminder is ineffective, the borrowers name will be placed in the weekly bulletin under 'Overdue Books' heading.
  • If a book is lost or damaged, the cost of replacement will be charged.
Internet Usage:
Access
  • Access to the Internet is provided as a means to enhance information and learning opportunities.
  • The Internet Usage Policies as set forth in this document applies both to the use of computers wired to the library's Local Access Network (LAN) and to portable computers that connect to the library's LAN. 
  • Access to the Internet is available to all library users; however, this service may be restricted at any time for use not consistent with the guidelines. 
  • Parents of minor children must assume responsibility for their children's use of the library's Internet service. 
  • Users who decline to abide by this policy will not be permitted to access the Internet. 

Expectations
  • Users should be aware that the inappropriate use of electronic information resources can be a violation of local, state, and federal laws and can lead to prosecution. 
  • The user will be held responsible for his/her actions using the Internet. 
  • Unacceptable uses of the service will result in the suspension or revocation of Internet use privileges. 

Warnings
  • The Internet is a decentralized, un-moderated global network. 
  • Trinity Bible Church and its various ministries have no control over the content found on the Internet. 
  • The library is not responsible for the availability and accuracy of information found on the Internet; users should evaluate any information they find critically. 
  • The library is not responsible for damages to equipment or data on a user's personal computer from the use of data downloaded from the library's Internet service. 

Guidelines
  • Users may use the Internet for research and the acquisition of information to address their educational, vocational, cultural, and recreational needs.
  • Internet use is offered in thirty (30) minute sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Each user is allowed one session. 
  • If there is no patron waiting for the service at the end of a session, the user can continue their session, but once having had the service for 30 minutes the user must abandon use of the Internet if another patron requests use of the service. 
  • Users will respect and uphold copyright laws and all other applicable laws and regulations; they will not use library Internet resources for illegal purposes.
