Music Policy
The music of this church, which must be Biblical in nature, doctrinally sound, and a tempo conducive to worship of the Lord (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).
We believe that our music should honor the Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31) and that as one sings or plays he or she is ministering and not performing. The message that a song conveys is very important as 1 Corinthians 14:15 suggests “... sing with the understanding.” The music should complement the message and not detract from it.
We need to beware of using the world's music to accomplish God's work (1 Chronicles 13:6-10). In light of this, some music that you may personally prefer may not be acceptable for public worship. Music may be acceptable, but must first be approved by the Music Committee.
