God is self-conscious and self-determined, hence God has personhood. These two aspects of personhood display themselves in intellect, emotion, and volition.
God has emotion. He can be grieved.
He is angry with the sinner.
God takes pleasure in the death of the saints.
He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
God hates evil and love that which is good.
He is pleased with a believer’s faith.
